Marketplace Vendor Policy

Our Marketplace Philosophy
ShopYellowPages was created with a simple goal:
Help local businesses compete on a level playing field.
Unlike many online marketplaces:
- No paid placement
- No sponsored products
- No bidding for better search rankings
- No monthly marketplace fee
- Free product listings
- Transparent transaction fees
- Equal opportunity for every vendor
Our success depends on your success.
Who Can Become a Vendor?
Marketplace vendor accounts are available to individuals and businesses that meet our eligibility requirements.
To sell through ShopYellowPages, vendors must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have legal authority to conduct business.
- Provide accurate account information.
- Maintain a valid email address and contact information.
- Complete any required identity verification or tax documentation.
- Connect an approved payment account for receiving payouts.
- Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws governing their products and business activities.
Additional verification may be required before certain products or businesses are approved to sell.

Vendor Status
ShopYellowPages permits both business sellers and individual sellers to participate in the Marketplace.
During account or store setup, sellers may be asked whether they are selling as:
- A business or professional organization
- An individual or hobby seller
This response is self-reported. ShopYellowPages does not guarantee that a seller has formed a legal business entity or completed any particular business registration.
Vendor Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for determining and meeting all legal requirements that apply to their products, services, location, sales activity, and customers.
This includes, when applicable:
- Business registrations
- Licenses and permits
- Product labeling requirements
- Safety standards
- Food-production requirements
- Professional credentials
- Tax obligations
- Consumer-protection requirements
- Shipping and delivery restrictions
ShopYellowPages does not provide legal, tax, licensing, or regulatory advice and does not routinely monitor the seller’s continuing compliance.

Vendor Accounts
Each vendor is responsible for maintaining the security and accuracy of their account.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping login credentials secure.
- Maintaining current contact information.
- Updating business information when changes occur.
- Keeping banking and payout information current.
- Promptly notifying ShopYellowPages of unauthorized account access or suspected fraud.
Vendors are responsible for all activity that occurs under their account unless unauthorized access is promptly reported.
Vendor Verification
ShopYellowPages does not generally require sellers to submit licenses, permits, insurance records, or business registration documents during ordinary account setup.
ShopYellowPages may request relevant documentation when necessary to investigate a complaint, address a potential violation, respond to a legal obligation, protect users, or confirm eligibility for a restricted feature or category.
Regulated Categories
Some products and services are subject to additional laws, safety rules, licensing requirements, or category restrictions.
Sellers listing in a regulated category must certify that they meet all applicable legal requirements before publishing the listing.
ShopYellowPages may:
- Require an additional acknowledgment before a listing is published
- Limit certain categories to eligible sellers
- Request supporting documentation after a complaint or concern
- Temporarily remove a listing while a concern is reviewed
- Restrict or permanently prohibit certain products or services
Access to a category does not represent verification, approval, endorsement, or confirmation of legal compliance by ShopYellowPages.

Prohibited Products
Certain products and services may not be listed on ShopYellowPages.
Please review our Prohibited Products & Services Policy before creating listings.
Listings that violate this policy may be removed without notice.

Live Animals
Breeders, rescues, shelters, and similar organizations may maintain a Business Directory profile and may use permitted Classified listings, but animal payments may not be processed through Marketplace checkout.
Live animals are not eligible Marketplace products. Vendors may not use Marketplace listings, product variations, deposits, gift certificates, reservation payments, or custom-order listings to sell or reserve a live animal.
Animal-related businesses may sell permitted physical products and services through the Marketplace, including pet supplies, food, treats, grooming products, training services, boarding packages, photography services, and similar lawful offerings. These listings must comply with all other ShopYellowPages policies.
Fraud Prevention
To protect buyers and vendors, ShopYellowPages may monitor Marketplace activity for unusual or potentially fraudulent behavior.
We may temporarily delay payouts, request additional verification, or restrict Marketplace activity while concerns are investigated.
These measures help protect the integrity of the platform and reduce financial risk for all users.
Account Reviews & Enforcement
Accounts may be reviewed if we identify:
- Repeated customer complaints
- Misleading product listings
- Excessive order cancellations
- Fraudulent activity
- Policy violations
- Intellectual property complaints
- Unsafe business practices
- Attempts to manipulate Marketplace rankings or reviews
Depending on the circumstances, ShopYellowPages may:
- Remove individual listings
- Require listing corrections
- Issue warnings
- Temporarily suspend Marketplace privileges
- Permanently terminate Marketplace accounts
- Report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities when required
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Vendor Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Marketplace, payment systems, legal requirements, or business practices.
When material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice through the website or your account where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Marketplace after those changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
