ShopYellowPages is committed to creating a trusted marketplace where local businesses, buyers, and community members can connect with confidence.

To help maintain a safe, legal, and respectful platform, certain products, services, and activities may not be listed, advertised, sold, or promoted through the ShopYellowPages Business Directory, Marketplace, or Classifieds.

This policy applies to all users, businesses, vendors, advertisers (if ever permitted in the future), and anyone using ShopYellowPages to promote products or services.

Violation of this policy may result in listing removal, account suspension, permanent account termination, or reporting to appropriate authorities when required by law.

Our Approach

We recognize that laws vary between states and countries.

However, ShopYellowPages reserves the right to prohibit products or services that may be legal in some locations if we believe they create unnecessary legal, financial, or safety risks for our community.

Our goal is to create a marketplace that families, local businesses, and community members can trust.

The Following Are Prohibited

Illegal Products

Listings may not include products or services that violate applicable laws.

Examples include:

Stolen property
Counterfeit goods
Forged documents
Illegal drugs
Drug manufacturing equipment
Drug paraphernalia intended for illegal use
Smuggled goods
Illegal imports or exports
Products prohibited by law

Fraudulent or Deceptive Listings

You may not use ShopYellowPages to deceive, mislead, or defraud others.

Examples include:

Fake products
Fake businesses
False advertising
Pyramid schemes
Ponzi schemes
Investment scams
Phishing attempts
Identity theft services
Counterfeit certificates
Misrepresented products
Fake giveaways
Bait-and-switch offers

Dangerous Products

Listings involving unusually hazardous materials or products that create significant safety risks are prohibited.

Examples include:

Explosives
Bomb-making materials
Hazardous chemicals
Toxic substances
Chemical weapons
Biological hazards
Radioactive materials
Items intended primarily to cause unlawful harm

Live Animals and Animal Transactions

Live animals may not be sold through the ShopYellowPages Marketplace. Marketplace listings may not offer live animals for purchase, accept deposits or reservation fees for an animal, arrange animal shipping, or process animal adoption or rehoming fees through marketplace checkout.

This restriction does not prevent lawful breeders, animal rescues, shelters, pet adoption organizations, farms, or other legitimate animal-related businesses from maintaining a Business Directory listing.

Local adoption and rehoming notices may be permitted in the Classifieds section when they comply with ShopYellowPages rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Classified listings must not be used for animal fighting, illegal breeding, wildlife trafficking, puppy or kitten mills, deceptive sales, or any other unlawful or harmful activity.

The following are prohibited throughout ShopYellowPages:

Animals offered for fighting, baiting, experimentation, sexual exploitation, or other abusive purposes
Stolen animals or animals offered without the legal owner’s authorization
Protected, endangered, illegally captured, or unlawfully possessed wildlife
Listings that misrepresent an animal’s breed, health, age, ownership, origin, vaccination status, or availability
Animal sales or transfers prohibited by federal, state, or local law
Shipping arrangements that violate carrier rules or animal-welfare requirements
Listings requesting payment through gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or other suspicious off-platform methods

ShopYellowPages may remove an animal-related listing, request proof of identity, ownership, licensing, registration, veterinary care, or legal compliance, and suspend accounts when necessary to protect users or animals.

Controlled or Restricted Products

Certain regulated products require specialized licensing, verification, or legal compliance.

These items may not be listed unless expressly approved by ShopYellowPages and permitted under applicable law.

Examples include:

Prescription medications
Medical devices requiring authorization
Certain regulated chemicals
Products requiring government licensing
Other highly regulated goods

Counterfeit & Intellectual Property Violations

Respecting creators and businesses is an important part of building a trustworthy marketplace.

Prohibited listings include:

Counterfeit merchandise
Unauthorized reproductions
Trademark infringement
Copyright infringement
Pirated software
Unauthorized digital downloads
Fake luxury goods
Fake branded merchandise

Adult Content & Services

ShopYellowPages is intended to be welcoming to families and community members of all ages.

Listings may not include:

Pornographic material
Sexually explicit products
Escort services
Adult entertainment services
Illegal adult services
Exploitative content

Violence & Graphic Content

Listings containing or promoting excessive violence or graphic content are prohibited.

Examples include:

Graphic imagery
Content intended to glorify violence
Violent extremist material
Content encouraging unlawful violence

Hate & Discrimination

Content promoting hatred or discrimination has no place on ShopYellowPages.

Listings may not promote or encourage discrimination or violence against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.

Wildlife & Protected Species

Listings involving protected wildlife or illegally obtained animal products are prohibited.

Examples include:

Illegal ivory
Protected species
Endangered animals
Illegal animal products
Wildlife trafficking

Stolen Property

Items that have been stolen or unlawfully obtained may not be listed.

Users should only sell property they legally own or are authorized to sell.

Financial Services & High-Risk Opportunities

Listings promoting deceptive financial services or unusually high-risk financial schemes are prohibited.

Examples include:

Fake loans
Credit repair scams
Advance fee fraud
Investment fraud
Unlicensed financial services
Money laundering services

Spam & Manipulation

Users may not use ShopYellowPages to manipulate search results or flood the platform with repetitive content.

Examples include:

Duplicate listings
Keyword stuffing
Automated posting
Fake reviews
Multiple accounts used to manipulate visibility
Misleading categories

Misleading Business Practices

Businesses must accurately represent themselves.

Examples of prohibited conduct include:

Fake business addresses
False certifications
Fake licenses
Misleading guarantees
False testimonials
Fake review manipulation

Products Requiring Additional Review

Some categories may require additional review before being approved for listing.

Examples may include:

Certain collectible items
High-value merchandise
Precious metals
Jewelry
Tickets
Specialized equipment
Certain regulated business services

Additional verification may be required to help protect buyers and sellers.

Listing Removal

ShopYellowPages may remove listings that:

Violate this policy
Create unreasonable legal or safety risks
Mislead buyers
Generate repeated complaints
Violate intellectual property rights
Violate applicable laws
Harm the integrity of the Marketplace

Listings may be removed with or without prior notice depending on the circumstances.

Account Enforcement

Violations may result in one or more of the following actions:

Listing removal
Warning
Temporary suspension
Permanent account termination
Loss of Marketplace privileges
Loss of Classifieds privileges
Reporting to payment processors
Reporting to law enforcement when legally required

Repeated violations may result in permanent removal from ShopYellowPages.

If you encounter a listing that appears to violate this policy, please report it through our Report a Concern page.

When possible, include:

A link to the listing
A description of the concern
Supporting information or photographs, if applicable

Updated versions will be posted on this page, and continued use of ShopYellowPages after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
