ShopYellowPages is a community-focused platform that helps local businesses get discovered through our Business Directory, Marketplace, and Classifieds. Our mission is to make it easier for people to support local businesses while giving business owners affordable tools to grow.
What makes ShopYellowPages different?
Unlike many online platforms:
- We do not sell sponsored search placement.
- We do not allow businesses to pay for better visibility.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We focus on helping local businesses succeed.
- We believe every business deserves an equal opportunity to be discovered.
Where does ShopYellowPages operate?
Our Business Directory is designed to help people discover businesses in their local communities throughout the United States.
Marketplace vendors may choose whether to sell locally, nationwide, or both.
Business Directory
How much does a Business Directory listing cost?
We offer several affordable membership options. Current pricing is always available on our Plans & Pricing page.
Can I edit my listing?
Yes.
Business owners can update their listing information, business hours, photos, contact information, and more through their account.
Can I list my business in more than one category?
Yes.
Depending on your membership level, your business may appear in multiple categories.
Can businesses pay for better placement?
No.
Search results are never sold.
Businesses appear based on relevant search results – not advertising dollars.
Marketplace
Do I need a Business Directory membership to sell?
No.
Anyone who meets our Marketplace requirements may open a store.
What does it cost to sell?
Creating a store is free.
A small transaction fee is charged only when you make a sale. Current Marketplace fees are available on our Plans & Pricing page.
Who handles shipping?
Each Marketplace vendor is responsible for shipping their own products unless otherwise stated in their listing.
Who do I contact about my order?
Please contact the seller first.
Most questions can be resolved directly with the business.
If you’re unable to resolve an issue, we’re here to help.
Does ShopYellowPages sell products?
No.
All products are sold directly by independent Marketplace vendors.
Classifieds
How much does it cost to post a classified ad?
Current Classified pricing is listed on our Plans & Pricing page.
How long do classifieds remain online?
Your advertisement remains active for the length of the posting option you selected: 10 or 30 days with a recurring option.
Can I edit my classified ad?
Yes.
Active advertisements may generally be edited during their posting period.
Accounts
Do I need an account?
Browsing businesses and searching the directory generally does not require an account.
Creating listings, posting classifieds, opening a Marketplace store, or making certain purchases will require one.
I forgot my password.
Use the “Forgot Password” link on the sign-in page to reset your password.
Can I delete my account?
Yes.
You may request account deletion through your account settings or by contacting us.
Certain records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Privacy & Security
Do you sell my personal information?
No.
We do not sell your personal information.
Do you display advertising?
No.
Our goal is to provide a clean experience focused on local businesses rather than third-party advertising.
How do you make money?
ShopYellowPages is supported through:
- Affordable directory memberships
- Marketplace transaction fees
- Classified advertisement fees
This allows us to operate without selling personal information or sponsored search placement.

How do I report inappropriate content?
Visit our Report a Concern page.
We’ll review every report in accordance with our Content Moderation & Enforcement Policy.
What happens after I report something?
Our moderation team reviews reports individually.
Depending on the situation, we may:
- Request additional information.
- Remove content.
- Contact the parties involved.
- Suspend accounts.
- Take other action consistent with our policies.
