Respecting Intellectual Property

What Is Intellectual Property?

Ownership of intellectual property generally belongs to the creator or the lawful rights holder.

Content You May Upload

Users may upload content only if they:

Content You May Not Upload

You may not upload or publish content that:

Infringes another person’s copyright.
Uses another company’s trademark in a misleading manner.
Copies another seller’s photographs.
Copies another business’s written descriptions.
Uses copyrighted images without permission.
Uses stock photography without the required license.
Copies website content from another business.
Violates intellectual property laws.

Business Logos & Trademarks

Businesses may use:

Their own registered trademarks.
Their own logos.
Their own trade names.
Marks they are legally authorized to use.

Users may not falsely represent themselves as another business or imply an affiliation that does not exist.

Copyright Ownership

Submitting content to ShopYellowPages does not transfer ownership of your intellectual property.

You retain ownership of the content you create.

By uploading content, you grant ShopYellowPages a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content only as necessary to operate, promote, and improve the ShopYellowPages platform.

This license ends when your content is removed from our platform, except where retention is required for legal, operational, or backup purposes.

Reporting a Violation

Reporting a copyright or trademark issue? Please include links to the original work and any documentation showing that you own or are authorized to enforce the rights involved.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without permission on ShopYellowPages, you may submit a report through our Report a Concern page.

Please include:

Your name and contact information.
A description of the copyrighted work.
The location (URL) of the allegedly infringing content.
A statement explaining why you believe the content infringes your rights.
Any supporting documentation, if available.

Providing complete and accurate information helps us investigate your report more efficiently.

Reporting Trademark Concerns

If you believe someone is improperly using your:

Business name
Registered trademark
Logo
Brand identity

Please submit a report through our Report a Concern page.

We may request additional information to verify ownership or authorization before taking action.

How We Review Reports

When we receive a report, we may:

Review the reported content.
Request additional information from either party.
Temporarily restrict or remove content while investigating, where appropriate.
Contact the reporting party or the user who posted the content.
Take action consistent with our Terms of Service and Content Moderation & Enforcement Policy.

Not every report results in removal. Each report is reviewed individually based on the available information and applicable law.

Repeat Infringers

Users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights may be subject to:

Removal of content.
Suspension of listings.
Marketplace restrictions.
Account suspension.
Permanent account termination.

The severity of any action depends on the nature, frequency, and seriousness of the violations.

False or Fraudulent Reports

Submitting knowingly false, misleading, or fraudulent infringement claims may result in:

Rejection of the report.
Account restrictions.
Suspension or termination of platform access.
Other action as appropriate under our policies or applicable law.

We encourage good-faith reporting and respectful resolution of disputes whenever possible.

Counter-Notifications

If your content is removed because of an intellectual property complaint and you believe the removal was made in error or you have the legal right to use the content, you may contact us through our Report a Concern page or Contact Us page with supporting information for review.

Where appropriate, we may allow content to be restored after evaluating the information provided by both parties and any applicable legal requirements.
